As promised, I have pics from yesterdays Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards (CFDA). Well, not just pics but Harper Bazaar’s Best Dressed. This isn’t the whole list. I, of course, amended it so it has become my best dressed list. So, let’s just rename it A Bizzy T’s CFDA Best Dressed. And the nominees are:
Rihanna in a custom design by Adam Selman. Now, all I could say when I saw this picture was STUN-TING! I mean, she was honored today as the Fashion Icon of the year and honey this is why! Only RihRih would’ve pulled off this shine bright like a diamond uber sexy number. Werk!!!!!
Next up, J-Hud in Kaufman Franco, I absolutely love this asymmetrical number and Jennifer looks a-maz-ing! Simple and chic.
Next, Solo giving a little bit of Diana Ross glam here in this Calvin Klein sparkling gown…just days after being spotted in New Orleans looking a hot mess dress in what appeared to be a hospital outpatient frock, but that was then. Today, she killin ’em and looking like the Solo we all know and love!
Alright now! Supermodels of the decade!! Haaay Tyson!! Here we have Mr. Tyson “hottest male model ever” Beckford and the insatiable Naomi Campbell. Fashionably speaking, neither one of them can do no wrong. Loves both looks!
One of my favorite designers, Ms. Diane von Furstenberg looking amazing in her own brand. She is the epitome of aging gracefully. Loves the shoes.
One of my style icon’s Rachel Zoe in this cute one-armed metallic number from her own collection. I love everything about this look, the hair to one side and accessorized with a smile. I feel like I could rock this dress! Perfection!
New York socialite and fashionista, Olivia Palermo in this all black two-piece. In the midst of all the gowns and glamor, I thought this was a risky but cute choice. The top has fur and fringe detail and the pencil skirt has fringe detail as well. I’m not sure if this was a set or two separates. Either way, I likes and she looks great for going all black but not basic.
Runway It Girl, model Joan Smalls giving us leg in Prabal Gurung. I love this chic! She serves them on the runway! I love this gown. Cutouts have been showing up on the red carpet everywhere this season and sometimes it’s just too much..too sexy, but this is perfect! The top is tight with the cut-outs and the bottom just flows loose with a thigh high split. It’s a little bit of this and a little bit of that! Loves!
Model Jessica Stam looked hot in the two-piece white ensemble. I like this look for a white look. It’s elegant and classy yet sexy and simple. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? White party look!!!! This would be a perfect look to steal this summer if you want to go for simple but chic.
Young supermodel and ex-fiance of A$ap Rocky, Chanel Iman, in a Monique Lhuillier beaded black gown. One word, classic! This gown is all of that. Her entire look is elegant. I love it!!!
Finally, some color on the carpet! Greta Gerwin is wearing another one of my favorite designers Zac Posen. This tomato red, draped 1940’s inspired number is beautiful. My first thought was, this is something could wear year round accessorized or plain, as she did. Loves!!
Model and actress Jamie King rock this fringe Calvin Klein number. I love the fringe detail and the see through panel on this dress and it’s white..a sexy and whimsical white gown. The only thing is I think I would have chosen different shoes and clutch to go with this dress. She still looks amazing though and I love the dress!
Heidi Klum in and with designer Donn Karan. I love both of these dresses. Both flowy and sexy. I especially like the peach colored one Heidi has on. That’s a great summer color. Both ladies look amazing!!
Supermodel Coco Rocha in and with Project Runway Season 4 winner designer Christian Siriano. This guy is known for his dramatic designs and this whole look is killin it! The perfect model is wearing it too! Miss Rocha has the energy and attitude to pull it off. Again, it’s a nod to the style of the 1940’s and 50’s which happens to be my personal favorite style era. Yeeees!!
Actress, Blake Lively in and with Michael Kors. I love her! She’s another one that slays the red carpet, especially this year. I haven’t seen her go wrong yet! (see looks from this years Cannes Film Festival! ) Michael Kors is another one of my favs. I love this fun and playful number with pink and green beading. I’m so use to seeing her dressed in gowns that to me this is refreshing. I like the choice in wearing and accenting with pink accessories too (headband and shoes).
Well, there you have it folks. My best dressed for this Turn Up Tuesday care of the CFDA Awards. Who do you think killed it and what do you think of Rihanna’s gown?
