Good morning Bizzies!
Happy Monday! Hopefully everyone had a fabulous weekend?? I know I did! Me and my mini made our rounds, socially, starting with a Fourth of July celebration with the family at the Porter Ranch Fair. There were hundreds and thousands of people in attendance, camped out, watching the entertainment and tasting all of the fabulous food while waiting for the big show. My favorite food fairs is the funnel cake!! Yes, I will go to a fair just for the funnel cake! lol There’s just something about getting it from the fair that, to me, makes it taste extra yummy, seriously! lol Oh and the Parmesan corn on the cob…yes!!! My little niece couldn’t get enough of that. Just watching her eat it, gets me full. lol
On Saturday, it was so hot here. I had friends in town that I hadn’t seen in a while so we decided to meet up in Santa Monica for a night of dinner and dancing. We hit up a couple of spots on Broadway, did some dancing and just had a blast!
Sunday, family-fun-day! A couple of family-friends hosted a skating birthday party for their 7-year-old son in Glendale at the roller rink. I hadn’t been on roller skates in a little over a year and so I was excited to get out there brush up and show off my skills. It was so much fun! I didn’t fall not once! Yaay, me! lol
It always makes me feel good to visit, connect and even re-connect with people who have a special place in my heart and who are positive influences to both my family and I. As bizzy as life can get in general, taking out that extra time to socialize, create new memories and special moments is priceless. So, to everyone that hit me up this weekend to hang, thank you!!!!
Okay so, with that said, here are some of the looks I sported while hanging out this weekend:
My Fourth of July jumper. I looove this piece! It’s comfortable, I feel sexy in it and the cut and print was perfect for the fair! I’ve actually had this jumper for a couple of years and I have only worn it on Fourth of July…three times. Shh, don’t tell anyone! lol.
Theres that funnel cake!
Now, this one, couldn’t decide between wearing her blue, red and white romper or the red skirt. So, she put the skirt on top of the romper and created a whole new look! The apple does not fall far from the tree! lol
Dinner and dancing with friends. I’m wearing a hi-low silver and black polka-dot skirt paired with a silk, sheer, sleeveless, Henley style top with my favorite Zigi Soho rhinestone and floral embellished heels. I added the black silk flower pin on the pocket of the top to dress it up a bit and to tie in the flower with the embellishment on my shoes.
This look easily transitions from early evening dinner to a night out with friends.
Fun-day with family and friends at the roller rink. If you haven’t realized it yet, I have a tendency to pick classic pieces that have a long “style-life”. This top is another item that I’ve had in my closet for a couple of years and have worn maybe once or twice. This tops lucky day was today. It was extremely hot and the print and the colors spoke to me today. A pair of comfy skinny jeans, my favorite sandals and bag completed this fun look to go skating in.
Click, click, snap and I’m off!
