Goood afternoon Bizzies!
Happy Wednesdaaay! Summer is here and on fire!!! As mentioned in my re-cap post, the show was actually pretty good this year, but I must admit it was slim pickins on the red carpet. And with that said let’s re-visit the BET Awards red carpet for my best dressed picks for this years shindig, shall we?!!
The hostesses with the mostessess! These two showed up to show out. I absolutely adore this classic look on the both of them. This chic white summer dress Tracee chose to wear is pure perfection! This dress can be worn many different ways to many different events both casual and dressy. And Anthony in a classic black tux added a touch of color with the deep red bow-tie. Loooves!!
Okay, now, mesh and metal, dahhling! This piece right here, loooves! It’s a work of art and Ms. Serayah is killing it! I loooves everything about this look. It’s fun, sexy, classy and edgy! I appreciate the fact that she didn’t over do the look with long straight extensions or even pulling her hair up or back off her face. Her natural hair completed this look to a T.!
Well, look-a-here, look-a-here! Miss Zendaya is just growing up! She has now become known for her fashion statements on the red carpet. From rocking corn rows, to a baseball cap with a gown on the red carpet, this look is another bold statement. I think she looks cute. There was some chatter about the fact that her dress is see through and she has a lot of young followers, but it is tasteful. I would’ve loved to see her in a pump with this blinged out button down shirt dress instead of these platform sandals though.
Next up, Ciara, who has put her “future” behind her and is moooving ons! She stunned in this beaded, see through, sexy number. The deep v-neckline and the high split….drama hunty! She kept is simple and chic with minimal accessories. Kinda wish she would have done a lil somethin somethin with that hair though. Hmmmm.
And speaking of drama, Gabrielle Union looked stunning in this long sequined number by Halston Heritage. I really like this dark, sort of goth look on her for this moment. It’s very sexy, seductive and sophisticated in a way. Although I am so over the cut out dresses, this one gets a pass. She looks amazing!!
Singer, songwriter, web phenom Tori Kelly looks so cute here in this leather double zipped mini dress and it has pockets!!!! She looks adorable and those shoes!!! Yaaas!!
Singer Justin Skye in this cute halter number by Balmain. I like this look for her. It’s cute, sassy, sexy and age appropriate. This look had me at the neck piece! Loves the gold accessories. Perfect touch!!
Actress/Singer Naturi Naughton took us to the motherland in this number. I like this look. It was refreshing, colorful and sexy and I think it was appropriate. This piece was actually designed by high school student, Kyemah McEntyre who created a big internet buzz a couple of weeks ago when she designed a similar and even more fabulous version of this dress for her own prom. Naturi looks elegant and ripe for the pickins for her own Prince of Zamuda! Yaaaas!
These two….could they be even more haute? Nicole’s dress is everything!!! Wedding ready! She looks like a goddess! And Boris, chile, he is the perfect accessory for life!!! lol
Aww, and this little cutie, actor Miles Brown from the show Blackish lookin like he woke up like that! lol Loves this look on him. I’ve said it before, it is not easy to pull off a haute red look on the red carpet but this little guy is killin it!!
Lil Diggy Simmons is aaaaallll grown up yall!! I looovees this look! Grey is the new neutral for men and it is absolutely working on the red carpet for Mr. Simmons.
Michael B. Jordan CANNOT go wrong on the red carpet. Can this guy wear the hell out of a suit or whaaaat?? Loves the color and the fact that he opted to step away from the norm. Teal and blue down to his shoes. Weeerk!!
Aaaand that would be all folks!!! Shout out to all of the stylists and glam squads that snatched these looks together. Without you, some of these people would probably be on my Monday Madness Fashion Foolery report!
